July is all about the world-famous Ghent Festivities, ten days filled with music, street performances, culture and celebrations throughout the historic city centre.
In August, the city slows down a little. Stroll along the picturesque Graslei and Korenlei, take a boat trip on the River Leie, visit one of Ghent's outstanding museums or discover its charming boutiques, cafés and restaurants.
September brings more cultural highlights, including OdeGand, a unique music festival where concerts take place at remarkable venues across the city.
In October, Film Fest Ghent is the city's cultural highlight. Combined with colourful autumn scenery, cosy squares and excellent gastronomy, it is the perfect time for a relaxing city break.
